Wendy Welsh, Head of Air Operations, Network Rail

With over 20 year’s rail industry experience, Wendy began her career on the railway in front line operational roles giving her valuable hands on experience of the challenges and opportunities of keeping customers moving on the 20,000+ miles of railway infrastructure that Network Rail is responsible for operating, maintaining and renewing. As Head of Air Operations, Wendy is responsible for leading and implementing national aerial strategies to improve safety, performance and asset reliability with no disruption to train running.

Global Project Roundtables

At each round table, the project leader will talk for 5 minutes, following the format as below
  • Project introduction, highlighting particular challenges specific to that project
  • Project progress, emphasising supplier and partner relations
  • Project summary – what would we do differently if we tackled this project again?
The table will then move on to discussion for 25 minutes.
There will then be one rotation, giving participants the opportunity to have joined two round tables in total
