Martin Röhrleef, Project and Innovation Manager, Üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe Ag

Martin Röhrleef (53) has been an environmental activist and transit advocate for years. After his Master in Civil Engineering he started working for the Greater Hanover Association (1991 – 1998), being responsible for comprehensive transport planning. 

After joining üstra (Hannover´s public transport company) in 1999 he started managing the projects on combined mobility, thus setting up collaborations of üstra with carsharing, car-rental, taxi and other mobility providers, launching Germany´s first integrated “mobility package” HANNOVERmobil in 2004 and the new multimodal mobility shop in 2016. 

Additionally he is general manager of TaxiBus Ltd., a joint company of üstra and the local taxi company. 

Within VDV (German Association of Public Transport Companies) he chairs the working group on multimodal mobility and he is vice chair of UITP´s (International Association of Public Transport) platform on combined mobility.
