José Luis Domingo Zayas, Head of Mass Transit, Mobility Division, Siemens


José Luis has 27 years of experience in Signaling and Train Control business, 15 of them on leadership roles developing transportation projects in Europe & Middle East, Latin America and Asia.
On October 2016, he became the new Head of Mass Transit for Siemens Mobility in Spain. His focus is growing the Mass Transit Signaling & Communication business on international markets.
From May 2013 to October 2016 José Luis was Head of Sales for South Europe, Middle East and Americas on the Mass Transit segment of Siemens Mobility in HQ (Germany). On that role, he developed the new Siemens portfolio for Mass Transit in some of the most challenging cites worldwide, with contracts in New York, Mexico, Monterrey, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, Madrid, Paris, Bucharest and Istanbul among others.
After stating on the Telecom market, José Luis joined the transportation sector in 1991 (EB Signal, today Bombardier Transportation) as railway signaling engineer for developing new standards on both Mass Transit and Main Line business. On 1994 he joined Dimetronic, an Spanish company that was acquired by the UK based Invensys Group on 1999. On 2008, José Luis was appointed Sales & Marketing Director and on 2012 Line of Business Director for the Mass Transit business at Invensys Rail, company that finally was purchased by Siemens on 2013.
Siemens Mobility Division’s knowledge and experience of designing, constructing and commissioning the smartest, most sustainable and competitive railway infrastructure goes back decades. Their products, solutions and services help clients all over the world to optimize their existing facilities, improve efficiency, cut operating costs and enhance safety, all while minimizing their environmental footprint.
José Luis strongly believes that mobility improvement in the new megacities is a key element for its sustainable and economic growth, and that digital solutions will provide to passengers a never known before journey experience.
José Luis is graduated Telecom Engineer from Technical University in Madrid and MBA on such university.
