Joana Claverol , is the  Clinical Research Unit Manager at Barcelona Children’s Hospital, Spain, where she has lead the clinical trials office since 2012. The Clinical Research Unit is a reference unit for pediatric patients at national and international level, specialized with innovative treatments for highly complex patients with pediatric rare diseases.  She has over 13 years of medical and clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. She started as clinical research associate at Parke-Davis company, and as clinical Project Manager at Pfizer Spanish affiliate. She moved to Amgen medical department where she progressively achieved higher levels of responsibility, including one year in the HQ Office, Zug, Switzerland.  Along the course of these years she gained knowledge and experience in drug development, product lifecycle and commercialization process with advanced understanding of Clinical Operations, Commercial, Marketing, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs functions.
She was trained as Clinical Biologist at Autonoma University, Barcelona and she holds a Master of Pharmaceutical Marketing and a Master of Clinical Monitoring.
