Dr. Schmidt is CEO of CEPRES GmbH, with offices in Munich, Singapore and London. He has more than 15 years experience investing in private equity and corporate business development. CEPRES provides investment platforms for institutional LPs and GPs for portfolio optimization, investment screening, due diligence, forecasting (cash, value, VaR) and quantitative risk management.    CEPRES combines the largest risk/return data source for private markets (240,000+ transactions), together with leading quantitative methods and investment analysis tools to offer a central community for LPs and GPs to gain specialist intelligence of buyout, growth, venture, private infrastructure and private credit for established and emerging markets. Formerly, Dr. Schmidt served as an Investment Manager and Managing Director of Deutsche Bank Private Equity Partners and as a Principal of VCM Capital Management, which was acquired by Sal. Oppenheim Private Equity Partners GmbH.
