Robin Curtis, Senior Lecturer, School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science, University of Manchester

Robin Curtis is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science at the University of Manchester.  He is a trained biochemical engineering with expertise in a molecular understanding of and controlling protein solution behaviour directly relevant to bioprocessing and formulation.  Much of the work involves developing predictive methods for protein aggregation, phase separation and other concentrated solution properties based on knowledge of how excipients or additives alter protein-protein interactions and protein conformation.  He currently supervises a team of 6 PhD students and 2 post-doctoral research asssociates in the Manchester Institute for Biotechnology.
