Olga has a multidisciplinary background. She graduated in Aberdeen (Scotland) with an MSc in Medical Molecular Microbiology, and PhD in Pharmaceutical Microbiology. As a Post-Doc she worked in the formulation and transdermal delivery of vaccines/drugs, investigating novel coating technologies for microneedles. Olga joined Crucell in February 2013 as a scientist in the Formulation Development Group, which is part of the Vaccine Process and Analytical Development group within Janssen Infectious Diseases and Vaccines located in Leiden, the Netherlands.  Her area of expertise is formulation of vaccines, with a particular interest in particle analysis and primary packaging and novel delivery of vaccines.
