Ian Catchpole is the Senior Investigator of BioPharm Innovation at GSK. He graduated from Oxford University and the Karolinska Instititute and has been at GSK for over 20 years. My role at GSK was leading an effort to generate a sustained-release formulation for administration of an anti-VEGF biologic to the eye every 6 months. He will share experience of this and focus on the challenges faced in reaching a successful proof of concept in the non-human primate and considers further hurdles to be addressed to move to man.
