Frantz Elbaz is currently Senior Fellow in the Novartis Continuous Manufacturing Team focusing on formulation and QbD, since April 1st, 2015.

Having been awarded his MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC), Frantz started his career at Sanofi, France in 1998 as Industrial Project Manager. He was involved in troubleshooting and optimization of manufacturing process parameters. Then, in 2004, he moved to Montpellier within Sanofi as a Development Unit Head, Pharmaceutical Sciences. He gained knowledge in formulation, manufacturing processes and QbD, dealing with several dosage forms as tablets, capsules, minitablets, Modified Release formulations, softgels and multi-layer tablets.


Frantz joined Novartis in February 2013 as Formulation Project Leader involved in Late Phase Oncology Projects. Moreover, since March 2014, he is PHAD QbD Network Leader.
