Hélène Kaplon, Post-Doctoral Fellow, SERVIER

Dr. Hélène Kaplon completed a PharmD at the University of Lille in 2014. Since 2011, she has co-authored Acthera, a guide of Therapeutic Antibodies approved in the European Union written for pharmacy students and pursued her career in the immuno-oncology field. Beginning 2015, she started a PhD in immunology at Cordeliers Research Center in Paris. In 2018, she obtained her PhD in Immunology from Sorbonne Universities and contributed to deciphering the role of tumor-infiltrating B cells within the tumor microenvironment of cancer patients.  For this topic, she received an audience award during her participation in “My thesis in 180 seconds”, an international competition of science popularization. She is currently working at Servier, a French pharmaceutical company as a post-doctoral fellow in the Biotechnology division focusing in biomarker discovery. Her research within the Molecular Histopathological Department involves the tumor microenvironment mapping using multispectral imaging. Dr. Kaplon has been a member of The Antibody Society since 2016, and she co-authored the “Antibodies to Watch in 2018 ” &  the “Antibodies to Watch in 2019 ” annual review with the Society’s Executive Director, Dr. Janice Reichert. Together, they will soon publish the next article in the series, “Antibodies to Watch in 2020 in mAbs.
