Donald (Don) W. Ross was named as Acting Vice President and Managing Director, Global Business. He will be responsible for managing the Postal Service’s worldwide trade with a focus on international business management, international financial and commercial analysis, global network strategy and technology and international relations.
Don’s most recent assignment was the Director Sales, Southern Area, where he lead the largest sales solution team in the country and was responsible for new revenue generation of over $1 billion annualy. Don has a proven reputation for developing creative business solutions and reengineering existing products to meet market needs. He recently developed an international strategy for the Asian Pacific countries, including establishing a bilingual sales team to build business in the Chinese market. This successful strategy is a key building block in USPS global expansion.
He began his career as a letter carrier in 1985 and held numerous positions in Delivery, Customer Service, Finance and Sales. He also served as the Postmaster in Montvale and Park Ridge, New Jersey.
Don received his bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and communications from Marist College and is a graduate of both USPS Advanced and Executive Leadership Programs.back to speakers
