As part of leadership development and talent renewal in the Parkway Pantai Group, Dr Vincent
Chia was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles Hospital with effect from 1
January 2014. Since then, he has been actively involved in driving the hospital’s growth and
business development, getting to know the staff and operations as well as having a first-hand
appreciation of issues at ground level. Prior to his current appointment, he provided strong
leadership as the Chief Executive Officer at Parkway East Hospital, a position which he helmed
from January 2012 to December 2013. He was responsible for managing and overseeing the
day-to-day operations and performance of the hospital, as well as charting the hospital’s growth plans.
Before his tenure at Parkway East, he was Vice President, Business Development (Local &
Regional Markets) of Parkway Shenton, where he led teams in strategizing and evaluating
opportunities to expand Parkway’s primary care network.
Prior to joining Parkway, Dr Chia had dedicated most of his medical career to internal and family
medicine, having practised as a primary care physician for 12 years with Healthway Medical
Group. Dr Chia was also General Manager, Primary Care Division of Healthway Medical Group
between 2009 and 2011, where he was instrumental in expanding its clinics network. His
principal areas of clinical interests include health promotion, weight loss and mental disorders.
