Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE), a subsidiary of Japan Exchange Group, Inc. (JPX), is a leading global exchange and the largest stock market in the Asia-Pacific region. TSE is best known for its equities market of more than 3,400 listed companies boasting the world's third largest market capitalization of approximately USD 4.37 trillion (JPY 444 trillion) as of May 2014. TSE now runs the JPX cash equity market following restructuring at the group to combine the markets formerly operated separately by TSE and fellow JPX subsidiary Osaka Exchange, Inc. As market operator for the cash equity segment, TSE will strive to further enhance the liquidity and convenience of the Japanese financial and capital market.
