Dr Ann Ginsberg, Chief Medical Officer, Aeras

Dr. Ann Ginsberg is Chief Medical Officer at Aeras. In this role, Dr. Ginsberg oversees Aeras’ clinical programs and is a member of its Executive Office.
 
Dr. Ginsberg served as Head, Clinical Development and then Chief Medical Officer at the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development from 2004 to 2011. Previously, she was Director, Project Management at Merck and before that Chief, Respiratory Diseases Branch, NIAID, NIH.
 
Trained as a molecular biologist and Board Certified Anatomic Pathologist, Dr. Ginsberg holds a B.A. from Harvard University, an M.D. from Columbia University and a Ph.D. from Washington University. She is the author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and recipient of several prominent awards, including the Department of Health and Human Services Secretary's Award for Distinguished Service in 2000. She has served on multiple global health committees, and Advisory Panels, and is a former member of Aeras’s Board of Directors. She currently serves on the National Vaccine Advisory Committee.
