Dr. Nay Zaw Aung @ Eugene is the Owner and Managing Director of Clover Hotels Group. Established in 2011, the group now has 3 properties; Clover Hotel, Clover Hotel City Center and Clover Hotel City Center Plus with the total room inventory of 206; all operating in Yangon, Myanmar.
“Clover Hotel” is the very first property opened in June 2011. It is an eight-story 48 room boutique hotel located very close to the unique Shwedagon Pagoda and Kandawgyi Lake.  The timing was perfect for the hotel as Myanmar started to open up to the world with its new civilian government.  Clover’s modern design, clean rooms, efficient service and convenient location was spot on for the incoming leisure and business travellers alike.
After the success of Clover, the group expanded with the second hotel “Clover Hotel City Center” in the heart of Downtown Yangon near the Traders Hotel. The hotel has 84 rooms and follows the same concept as Clover. It opened in October 2012 and became popular among the F.I.Ts and Business Travellers due to its prime location.
In April 2013, just next to Clover City Center, a more premium hotel “Clover Hotel City Center Plus” was opened in the same area. This latest hotel has 74 premium rooms and attracts more extended stays.
Dr. Nay Zaw Aung started his career in 2009 after he graduated from the medical school by working as a General Manager at Panda Hotel in Yangon.
In 2011, he started his own hotel brand “Clover”. The idea is to provide the international tourists a modern, clean and convenient place to stay with a reasonable price. All the Clovers are decorated in modern design and located in prime locations. To cater the essential need for internet in this modern age, upgraded internet lines are installed and WiFi is provided for free in all the hotels. Among the guests and online travel sites like Tripadvisor, Clover Hotels are especially noted for the excellent service of their staff and cleanliness. In 2012, Clover hotel won the Gold Circle Award from Agoda and Clover City Center won Top Producing Partner Award from Asiatravel. Panda Hotel also won Top Producing Partner Award from Asiatravel in 2013.
Dr Nay Zaw Aung is also a joint-secretary of Myanmar Hoteliers’ Association and Myanmar Restaurant Association. During the 27^th SEA GAMES, he was also the vice-president at the Housekeeping Committee of Myanmar Restaurant Association which provided Accommodation services for over 2000 athletes in Nay Pyi Taw.
