Dr David Wadsworth | Global Head , Outsourcing & Operations Roche
David Wadsworth carried out his Ph.D work at Imperial College, London, joining Ciba-Geigy in Basel as a Research Chemist in 1989. After taking on additional responsibilities in the area of managing external collaborations and compound acquisition, he took on an 18 month assignment at the Novartis research facility in Sydney, Australia. On returning to Switzerland he held a number of positions within the Novartis global research informatics organisation.
In 2001 David joined Roche as the Research Informatics Site Head for Basel, and in 2005 he moved to the Safety & Technical Sciences organisation where he was responsible for the Basel operations. In 2007, David returned to medicinal chemistry, taking up the global responsibility for outsourcing and operations.
The majority of the Roche Pharma-managed outsourced medicinal chemistry activities take place in Asia.
