Mr Andrew Lambert, Board Member, China British Business Council

Andrew Lambert CEng MIET is the Founder and CEO of Electronic Media Services Ltd (EMS), CEO of Singapore based Beyond Network Infotech PTE Ltd (BNI), a Non-Executive Director of the China-Britain Business Council and Board Member for the Enterprise M3 LEP.
 
Andrew is a Chartered Engineer and an experienced international business person and has a breadth of technical and business skills. He has worked in both large international corporations and small enterprises and therefore is aware of the unique challenges that small and medium size companies face when trying to grow and develop their business or enter new territories or markets. He is passionate about encouraging young people to take up a career in engineering and also believes that the UK should have a strong innovative and entrepreneurial technology and advanced manufacturing base.
 
He has an Honours Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, after graduating he joined Philips Research and then held several senior sales and marketing positions at Philips Electronics including lead negotiator in establishing a joint venture between Philips Electronics and Shell. This ultimately led to an MBO, with operations in America, Europe and the Middle East, where Andrew was the Chief Technology Officer.
 
He founded EMS which manufactures, markets and sells the award winning i-MO® (Intelligent-Mobile Office) WAN router appliance and the associated Optibond® Software Defined Networking (SDN) management software. In an age of massive data growth Internet connectivity is often unavailable, unreliable and expensive but it is universally viewed as essential as water, gas and electricity. The award winning i-MO OptiBond router and software provides always-on business grade Internet connectivity anytime and anywhere in the world using low cost broadband or widely available 3G/4G cellular networks.
 
Andrew is engaged in China on multiple levels. EMS markets the i-MO Multi Channel Router through an office in Shanghai. EMS procures components and modules from various Chinese suppliers, it also manufactures sub-assemblies in Shenzhen and undertakes software development in Shenyang.
