Mr. Mauricio Cortes | Principal ACON Investments
Principal at ACON Investments. Prior to joining ACON in 2009, he worked as a Senior Associate with GP Investments, one of the largest Private Equity firms in Latin America, in the Mexico City office. Prior to that, he worked as an Associate at Citigroup’s Latin America Investment Banking Group in New York and in Mexico City. In this function, he participated in M&A transactions in Mexico representing more than US$9 billion (including transactions in the retail, infrastructure and manufacturing sectors), as well as in several international equity and debt offerings. Mr. Cortés worked previously at Goldman Sachs’ Latin America Investment Banking Group in New York as well as at Booz Allen Hamilton in Mexico City. Mr. Cortés holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He also received a B.S. with Honors in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).
