Scott is an experienced practitioner in the on-line grocery space. He has 20+ years of hands-on experience, and continues to be one of the thought leaders in the development of the channel. He started his own company in the early evolution of on-line ordering, and after several years of rapid growth, sold the company to Peapod. He has spent the past 15 years on the executive team there and has been instrumental in Peapod evolving to its’ leading position in multiple markets. He held a variety of general management roles there, with particular emphasis on operations, supply chain, merchandising and finance.
In late 2015, he started his own consulting company, Scott DeGraeve Consulting LLC, where he works with food and grocery retailers, as well as CPG and other manufacturing companies. His focus is to work in a practical, hands on way to help companies assess their end-to-end on-line capabilities, develop detailed roadmaps to improve sales and profitability, enhance operational execution, and develop key metrics to drive the business. He participates on industry panels and speaking engagements, always emphasizing that profitability is attainable in the on-line food channel, and by focusing on it brings higher satisfaction levels, and higher share of wallet.
