Mr. Zhu brings to Tsing Capital seven years of experience in managing Chinese and International technology companies. Prior to joining Tsing Capital, Mr. Zhu held various management positions including leading the sales and business development team for Destinator China and managing large-scale enterprise software development teams at AT&T Labs. Since joining Tsing Capital in 2007, Mr. Zhu has focused on investing in high growth cleantech companies in new energy, energy efficiency, electric vehicle, smart grid, sustainable agriculture, waste management and other fast expanding sectors. His portfolio includes industry leaders such as Atieva, an advanced battery management system (BMS) integrator for electric vehicles, and Beijing Goldenway Biotech, a revolutionary kitchen waste processor and organic fertilizer producer. Besides investment, Mr. Zhu is also responsible for Tsing Capital’s Social and Environmental Responsibility practice, which uniquely positions the firm as a socially responsible investor in China. Additionally, he has led the fundraising of China Environment Fund IV, the newest US dollar denominated fund managed by Tsing Capital.
Mr. Zhu holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, a B.S. in Physics and B.A. in Economics from Peking University.
