Dr Thomas Wucherpfennig, Scientist, Cell Culture Development, Boehringer Ingelheim

Thomas studied Biotechnology at the Technical University of Braunschweig and Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Canada. He obtained his PhD from the Technical University of Braunschweig. Before joining Boehringer Ingelheim in 2014 as a Postdoctoral fellow, he gained expertise in the industrial Biotech sector at Roche and Clariant. Since 2015 Thomas has been working as a Scientist in Biberach in upstream development, focusing on Scale-up and Computational Fluid Dynamics. In 2016 he took over a position as Associate Director in Late Stage cell culture development, where he and his team focus on late stage development of biologics.
