Dr. Koehler received his Ph.D. from the University of Würzburg in Germany. He completed postdoctoral trainings at the Pasteur Institute in Paris and the Max-Planck-Institute for Infection Biology in Berlin. In 2006 Dr. Koehler joined Cytos Biotechnology AG in Zurich, Switzerland, leading the molecular biology group as a Senior Scientist. His responsibilities included the development of molecular biological assays for process development of Virus like particles (VLPs). In 2009, Dr. Koehler joined Novartis as a Lab head for CHO cell line development and candidate profiling within the Integrated Biologics profiling unit (IBP). Since Jan 2016 he’s appointed Group Head for CDL1 focusing on cell line development aspects for the early development of drug candidates at Novartis, Biologics.
