•    Biologist by training (Studies biology at the University Erlangen-Nürnberg)
•    Joined BI in 2005 as Associate Director for In-Process Control in Cell Culture Manufacturing (GMP facility)
•    From 2010 -2013: Associate Director for Cell Culture Development (Responsibility for the development of biopharmaceutical production processes for customer and BI internal projects and for the transfer of processes from the development department to pilot and production plants)
•    From 2013 -2015: Head of Clinical Supply & Transfer Upstream (Responsible for cell culture pilot plant facility, scale-up of cell culture processes to 2.000L scale and GMP material supply for clinical studies)
•    Since March 2015: Director Cell Culture Development at Boehringer Ingelheim (Responsible for the development of state of the art mammalian cell culture processes and process transfer to the global production network. Responsible for all aspects of developing the upstream part of mammalian cell culture processes including vector generation, cell line generation, process design and process characterization.
