Dr. Berthold Boedeker is Chief Scientist at Global Biologics-Biotech Development of Bayer Pharma AG in Wuppertal, Germany, which is responsible for the technical development and clinical material production of microbial and mammalian proteins. During his more than 30 years within the Bayer group he held several positions in research, development and production of proteins from mammalian cell culture, the last head of Cell Culture and Pilot Plants. In addition he is head lecturer for biotechnology at the Medical University of Essen, Germany.
