The post conference workshop takes a closer look at integrated payment platforms. The workshop starts with an overview of the traditional EMV payment ecosystem and explores the move to cash-replacement as well as new revenue streams where payment schemes are moving onto transit and other domains. A closer look at the threats to existing payment schemes (e.g. Apple, Google, PayPal etc) is taken and cases of convergence platforms such as payment & transit, payment & mobile etc. are examined. Further new transit/data storage solutions such as M/Chip Advance are examined. The role and global move towards NFC/TSM in terms of mobile commerce/payment is discussed during the workshop including a look at schemes such as Apple/Google.
