Dale joined Fil-Pacific Apparel Corporation in the Philippines in 1997 as the head of Export Division. He subsequently transferred to the Domestic Operation as Vice president for Business Development and in the last 10 years he has worked to grow the Brands within the organization particularly Jag Jeans.
He initially started his working career in garment manufacturing for large companies in the UK supplying products to Marks and Spencer. In 1986 he moved to Karrimor International working directly with the owner of the company. In the span of 6 years, they converted the business from a traditionally run company in an old Victorian Mill to a World Class Manufacturing and distribution company with a flagship store in Covent Garden, London. This involved changing the supply chain and using manufacturing teams to meet the needs of the customer. In 1990 they introduced Stock-Flow to the outdoor apparel industry in the UK and were able to replenish items sold at retail within a guaranteed 18 days. This was a first in industry.
In 1994 he left the UK and went working first in Sri-Lanka for Star Garments, the largest manufacturer in the country supplying product to Jones Apparel, Liz Claiborne, Chauss etc. He was successful in reducing lead times to the customers and expanding the product offering in higher value categories such as tailored trousers and jackets.
Dale moved to the Philippines in 1996 taking a year out to work as a full time volunteer for the Philippine Red Cross, this achieved his ambition to give back to the less fortunate people. Humanitarian help is something close to his heart and he carries on helping wherever he can to this day.back to speakers
