MAC has completed over 200 clinical studies in Phase I-IV, with notable strength in the design and execution of Phase I and II studies.
Access to Patients and Volunteers
With five dedicated research sites across the country, MAC clinics are close to over 20 million patients. Through our own volunteer and patient databases and those of our partners we have access to the medical records of over 700,000 patients within one hour of Manchester and through a strategic alliance with private hospital group, Spire Healthcare, additional access to 38 hospitals and over 6,000 physicians nationally.
New Phase I unit
MAC has recently transferred its clinical and pharmacodynamic services into a purpose built translational medicine and phase 1 clinic at Citylabs Manchester, with up to 54 beds in the heart of Europe’s largest clinical academic campus. The unit will offer three parallel sterile suite units, sample handling laboratory and state of the art pharmacodynamics testing suites, further enhancing MAC’s leadership in the development and validation of pharmacodynamic signal detection models
