Dr Kumar is a scientific and compliance professional in various aspects of the Bio-pharmaceutical industry with excellent knowledge & understanding of research, development and production of Biologicals, international regulatory requirements, mentoring and coaching skills. He has done exhaustive work for process development, optimization, set-up, subsequent production and formulation of various mono-valent and combination vaccines. In his current role, he is responsible for the production of Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis Vaccine, purification of Toxoids, formulation activities of DPT group of vaccines and combination vaccines i.e. DTPw-Hb, DTPw-Hb-HIB, DTP-HIB, Acellular pertussis vaccine. Previously he was with the Central Research Institute, Kasauli (Himachal Pradesh) and has also taught and trained B.Sc. And M. Sc. (Microbiology) classes in 1990 ? 1994 from various universities. During this time, he imparted training and teaching in the Production and Quality Control Testing of immuno-biological product conversant with GMP, FDA, Drug regulations and current philosophies of validations that is acceptable internationally to drug officers. Dr Kumar is also a member of the Indian Academy of Vaccinology and Immunology and the Indian Association of Medical Microbiologist.
