Mr Simon Farris, Renewable Energy Opportunities Manager, Severn Trent Water

Simon joined Severn Trent Water’s Graduate programme in 2004. Over the last 10 years Simon has held a number of operational roles within Severn Trent before joining the Renewable Energy Department in 2011. Since then Simon has worked on a number of projects – developing feasibility studies and promoting schemes in a wide number of renewable energy disciplines including Biogas, Biomethane, Hydro-Electric and Solar. Simon focuses on seeking out new ideas and technologies that help reduce Severn Trent’s exposure to increasing energy prices and allows them to maintain their position as having the lowest charges for water supply and waste water treatment.
