Juliandra Nurtjahjo | President & Chief Executive Officer
Citilink Indonesia

Juliandra Nurtjahjo, President & Chief Executive Officer, Citilink Indonesia

Mr. Juliandra Nurtjahjo was appointed as the President & CEO of Citilink Indonesia since 31 March 2017. Before assuming the current post, Mr. Nurtjahjo was the President & CEO of GMF AeroAsia, an MRO company which is founded and still owned by Garuda Indonesia, the national carrier of Indonesia.

Mr. Nurtjahjo believes that the days when LCCs could care less for customer service has long gone. He asserts LCCs nowadays can no longer get away from giving lousy service and substandard care for customers. Soon after his appointment, Mr. Nurtjahjo set up a road map to significantly improve Citilink’s service sides.  He worked together with Skytrax, a rating agency based in London, to audit Citilink’s service standards. In February 2018, Citilink was awarded a Skytrax’s 4-star airline for low cost airline, only the third LCC in the world whom Skytrax has given the award to.

Mr. Nurtjahjo holds a mechanical engineering degree as well as a masters degree in management. His career has mostly been spent in the MRO business where he was appointed to be the President and CEO of GMF AeroAsia before he shifted to the LCC business. Mr. Nurtjahjo managed to expand the MRO business quite significantly which has prompted the shareholders to appoint him to lead the LCC’s business of Garuda Indonesia’s group, Citilink Indonesia.

Despite his busy schedules, Mr. Nurtjahjo always finds some quiet time to do his favourite activities when he delves into his book collections of world renowned biographies. He draws lots of inspirations from the books for leadership insights as well as day-to-day wisdoms.

Mr. Juliandra Nurtjahjo is married with 2 beautiful teen daughters and 1 proud son.
