Christian Langer, CDO, Lufthansa Group

Christian was selected as Process Owner Digital Strategy, Innovation and Transformation for the Lufthansa Group in February 2017. In this role he leads the digital transformation of Lufthansa Group.

In addition to that Christian is responsible for the Product Division Digital Fleet Solutions at Lufthansa Technik in January 2017 with the recently announced MRO platform “Aviatar”.

After completing his studies, Christian Langer co-founded two startups before joining Lufthansa Technik  AG in 2004. In 2007, he was appointed as Head of Process Management in Hamburg, with responsibility for the Lufthansa Technik Group. Five years later, he took on the additional responsibility of leading a project to restructure the administration. From 2013 to 2015, Christian Langer served as founding Managing Director of Lumics GmbH & Co. KG, a Lufthansa Technik joint venture with McKinsey & Company. After that and till the end of 2016 he led Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services GmbH as Managing Director.

Dr. Christian Langer was born in 1971, and studied computer science at the University of Koblenz. He was awarded a doctorate in economics from the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
