Gerard has held senior management positions at the global level at Merrill Lynch, HSBC, Barclays and most recently at UBS where as Vice Chairman for Global Emerging Markets, he oversaw the bank’s relationships with key clients. Prior to his career in Wealth Management, Gerard worked as an investment banker and international lawyer in the US, Europe and the Middle East. He currently assists families and family offices on governance, succession, and estate planning issues and in identifying exceptional private equity opportunities. Gerard holds an LLM from the School of Advanced Legal Studies at the University of London, a Juris Doctor from the American University in Washington, D.C., and a BA in International Relations from Columbia University, NY. He is a citizen of Canada and Malta, is conversant in six languages and has lived in Lebanon, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Greece, the UK, the US and Brazil. He resides with his family in London and maintains a home in Uruguay.
