Annelien Bruins has operated in the international art world for 15 years. She started her career in 2001 by managing privately-owned collections of art, antiques and collectibles. In 2007 she set up London-based Bruins Private Collections Consultancy through which she advised her private and corporate clients in Europe, the US and Asia on art transactions and art portfolio management after which she started working with Tang Art Advisory in 2012. Annelien is a sought-after writer and guest speaker: she has been invited to lecture at Christie’s Education and Sotheby’s Institute of Art on the topics of art management, the art market and setting up an art business. She has been interviewed by Thomson Reuters, the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Investment Week and Private Asset Management. In addition to writing articles for Spears Wealth Management, Family Office Exchange and Private Wealth Focus Annelien writes art-related contents for wealth managers and is a contributing author to the Financial Times’ Guide to Investing in Emotional Assets and Collectibles: Managing a Portfolio for Growth. Annelien is a columnist with lawfullychic.com and sits on the advisory board of two US-based companies: Collectrium and Rentagent. Annelien holds a BA in Marketing and Communication (Ichthus Hogeschool Rotterdam) and an MA in Arts and Heritage Management (London Metropolitan University). She holds a Foundation Certificate in Art Law and a Diploma in Art Profession Law and Ethics from the Institute of Art and Law in the UK and an MSc in Leadership and Strategy (Sloan Fellowship) from London Business School.
