As Head of Business Development Helen leads the team responsible for the setting and monitoring of Nexus transport strategies.  An important priority for the team is the development of a strategy for the fleet for Metro to ensure the system remains operational to the 2030s and beyond.  This will form part of a longer term vision for Metro.  Helen has worked for Nexus for 7 years delivering a variety of transport strategies and funding bids both for Nexus and in partnership with local authorities and the Combined Authority for the North East.  She has previously worked in local government and the Oil and Gas industry.
