	Maria das Graças Silva Foster, graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), masters’ degrees in Nuclear Engineering and in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (COPPE/UFRJ), and MBA in Economics from the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV/RJ). She was appointed as Director of Gas & Energy for Petrobras on 21 September 2007 and is, concurrently, CEO of GASPETRO - Petrobras Gas Company. She is also President of the Board for TBG - Bolivia-Brasil Gas Pipeline Company, as well as TAG - Gas Pipeline Association Company. She is a member of the Boards of TRANSPETRO - Petrobras Logistic Company, PBIO - Petrobras Biofuels Company, BRASKEM - Petrochemical Company and of the IBP - Brazilian Oil and Gas Institute. Prior to this, she was CEO of Petrobras Distribuidora – Petrobras Fuel Distributor Company, CEO of PETROQUISA - Petrobras Petrochemical Company and she was Secretary for Oil, Natural Gas and Renewable Fuels in the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy. In 2008, she was chosen as Executive of the Year “Equilibrista” award by the IBEF/RJ - Instituto Brasileiro de Executivos de Finanças (Brazilian Institute of Financial Executives). In 2010, she was listed in two international rankings. She is among the 10 most powerful executives in Latin America according to the America Economia magazine, which is published in Chile and is focused on Latin American economics, finance and business. Additionally, according to the Financial Times, Graça Foster is among the top 50 most important women in business throughout the world.	Share this
