Vice-President of the General Council of Porto University since 2009. Member of the General Council of the Oporto Business School from 2001 to 2009. Chairman of the Board and CEO of UNICER – Bebidas de Portugal, SGPS, SA from 2000 till April 2006. Chairman of the Board and CEO of PETROGAL – Petróleos de Portugal, SA from 1995 until 2000. Executive responsibilities in LAGOVEN, S.A. (subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. – PDVSA) including responsibilities as CEO and Board Member of BP Bitor Energy, Nynas Petroleum and Ruhr Oel from 1980 till 1995.
