Graduated from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees, Paris. After joining Total in 1979 he was assigned to various drilling, production, logistics, planning and operation management positions in UK, Tunisia, Spain, Italy, Indonesia, Algeria, France, Venezula, Thailand and Myanmar. From 1999 to 2003 he was Managing Director of Total in Russia, then Executive Director of Total Upstream Nigeria and Director of the Akpo project. Since 2009 he has been the General Manager of Yemen LNG Company.
