Aaron Schumm, CEO and Founder, Vestwell

Aaron is the founder & CEO of Vestwell, an entirely new kind of digital retirement platform transforming the way plans are offered and administered — for the benefit of advisors, employers, and employees alike.  Vestwell removes the friction points of confusion, cost and legal overhead that come with traditional retirement plans, while combining the best parts of automated investing with a human touch. 

Prior to founding Vestwell, Aaron co-founded FolioDynamix, a wealth management and advisory services company powering $800 billion in assets for over 100,000 advisors.  At FolioDynamix, Aaron oversaw the strategy, revenue, marketing, customers and product. FolioDynamix was sold to Actua, (NASDAQ: ACTA) in 2014.

Before FolioDynamix, Aaron was a vice president at Citigroup where helped advance the Asset Manager Solutions global strategy efforts.   Other past positions include head of WealthSolutions products at BISYS (now part of Citigroup) and product manager at CheckFree Investment Services (now part of Fiserv) overseeing and the Unified Managed Account (UMA) platform. 

Outside of Vestwell, Schumm on the board of directors at Chalice Wealth Partners, as well as an advisory board member at Quovo, a financial services data science & performance analytics provider to advisors, and Vestorly, an AI financial content marketing platform.

Aaron holds a B.S. degree in finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and an M.B.A. degree from Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business.  He was named as one of 40-under-40 by InvestmentNews and WealthManagement.com’s “10 to Watch”.
