Chari TVT is currently the CFO of the second largest mobile Telecommunication operator in Malaysia, Celcom Axiata Bhd with the revenue of US$ 2.3 Billion and free cash flow of over US$ 800 M. Prior to this assignment, Chari Tvt was the Vice President, Sales, HP Financial Services Asia Pacific and Japan. Chari had an illustrious career in HP for over twenty years of which 10 years was in senior finance positions in various countries ( Hongkong, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore) and 10 years heading various business units. He was the Vice President and General Manager of the Personal Systems Group for South East Asia and Taiwan where he was responsible for US$950 million of business. He has held various senior level positions including Head of South East Asia Compaq PC business and Director of Commercial PC Group and Channel Management in Singapore. During his tenure for Access Business Group in ASEAN, Compaq gained substantial market share and held a No. 1 market share position in almost every country within the ASEAN region Chari brings well-rounded experience and leadership in his general business management strategic planning and operational management through his experience in various countries where he has lived and worked (4 Years in Hong Kong, 2 years in Malaysia, 2 years in Thailand and almost 12 years in Singapore apart from working in India). He has lived through two mega mergers/acquisitions in his tenure, learning and contributing enormously to the development of “new” culture (Digital Equipment Corporation and Compaq). He believes in people making a difference and continues to rally the troop to achieve the Corporate objective. He holds an MBA from State University of New York at Buffalo. He is also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK (CIMA). Chari is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant (ACA) and a member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (ICWA) from India.
