The Net Generation, iGeneration and Generation C - those children, tweens, teens, and young adults born after 1979 - are very different from the two prior generations: Generation X (born 1965-1979) and Baby Boomers (1946-1964). Using interviews of more than 3,500 Net Geners (1980-1989), iGeners (1990-1999) and Generation C children (born in the new millennium) and 1,000 parents and educators, this workshop highlights differences in personal goals, work ethic, family interactions, communication, and core values between the generations.
The workshop will provide a framework to help business managers, educators, and parents understand each other and help facilitate excellent communication and work performance in this younger, more cyber-savvy generation. The workshop is down-to-earth and addresses these differences with humour and understanding.
