Ric Deverell is a Director and Head of Commodities Research at Credit Suisse, based in London. He joined Credit Suisse in April 2010 after 10 years at the Reserve Bank of Australia, where he held several senior positions including Deputy Head of Economic Analysis and Chief Manager, International Markets and Relations. During the 1990s, Mr. Deverell served in the Australian Prime Minister’s Department and the Treasury, where he was head of the Asian section during the Asian financial crisis. His research interests include analysis of the global business cycle, the emergence of Asian economies and developments in the commodity markets. Mr. Deverell is an Economics graduate from the University of Tasmania.
