Mr Peter Lynch, Executive Chairman, Cokal Limited

Since graduating from UNSW with a Mining Engineering degree in 1988, Mr Lynch has held various positions within the coal industry in Australia, as mining engineer, project manager, mine manager, general manager and managing director, from January 2006 until January 2010, Peter was President, CEO and Director of Waratah Coal Inc., responsible for putting the Galilee basin on the map with his visionary development plan. Waratah is a TSX listed company, taken over by the Mineralogy Group in December 2008, having reached a peak market capitalisation of CAD300 million. Mr Lynch has a proven track record in coal project evaluation, development and operation and was responsible for design and construction of one of Australia’s best producing longwall projects, Oaky North. As previously mentioned Mr Lynch was the ex-CEO of Waratah Coal. He was also the MD Australian Premium Coals, at the time the operator of the both the Coppabella and Moorvale JVs on behalf of MacArthur Coal and its partners and was responsible for their operational expansion to 6Mtpa. Mr Lynch also has a strong following in Nth American Capital Markets, WCI.TSX-V. During 2010 Mr Lynch acquired interests in four metallurgical coal projects in Central Kalimantan through a private company Jack Doolan Capital Pty Ltd. With the help of a group of well respected Coal Industry professionals the company was taken public on the ASX via a back door listing in December 2010. That company is now Cokal, (ASX:CKA) with the objective of becoming a globally significant Metallurgical coal Producer, Peter Lynch is the Executive Chairman of Cokal.
