Mr Julian Jessop | Chief Global Economist Capital Economics
Julian Jessop is Chief Global Economist at Capital Economics, the leading macroeconomics and financial markets consultancy. He joined the company in 2004 from Standard Chartered Bank, where he was Senior International Economist responsible for analysing the G7 economies and the emerging markets of Asia. Julian has also held senior economist positions at HSBC and the Japanese bank Nikko, and worked as an Economic Adviser at the UK Treasury. Julian is responsible for Capital Economics' Commodities Service and is an expert on the interactions between commodity markets and macroeconomic and financial factors. He has a First Class degree in Economics from Cambridge University.
