Mr David Hutchins, Director/Fund Manager, Grafton Resource Investments

David commenced his career in 1979 with the Stock Exchange of Melbourne and following a move to London he progressed to become an executive director of M&G Investment Management Limited. He became head of the International Desk at M&G in April 1995, where he was also responsible for M&G Group’s investments in the precious metals and commodities sector worldwide, including the management of the USA based Vanguard Gold & Precious Metals Portfolio. He left M&G in December 1996 and has since been involved in fund management with Yorkton Securities Inc., London office and as a consultant to AWI Administration Services in Australia. He was a founding director of Resources Investment Trust plc when it was launched in January 2002 and also Ocean Resources Capital Holdings plc. Most recently he has been involved with the launch and listing of Grafton Resource Investments Limited, a Cayman Island based natural resources fund. David is a member of the Association of Mining Analysts and the FTSE Gold Mines Index Committee.
