Mr T.C. Chew, Projects Director, MTR Corporation Limited

TC Chew joined the Hong Kong MTR Corporation in May 2009 as Deputy Projects Director - New Projects. He is responsible for the implementation of all the new rail projects for the Corporation. TC has worked in the rail transit industry, both in the UK and Overseas, for over 30 years. Prior to joining MRTCL, TC held an appointment with Bombardier Transportation as Head of Mass Transit responsible for the worldwide Mass Transit Turnkey projects. TC was also the Council member of the UK Railway Industry Association. Up to 2003, TC held the position of Senior Director, Projects and Engineering, for Singapore Land Transit Authority (LTA). He played a key role in the implementation of the first fully automated, driverless North East Line metro system in Singapore. During his eight years service with LTA, TC delivered several major rail transit projects, the integrated transit fare collection system with contactless smartcard and a number of road projects. Between 1989 and 1995, TC was the Project E&M Manager for the London Underground’s Jubilee Line Extension Project.
