Dr Mohan Kolhe, Director of Programmes, UCL School of Energy & Resources, University College of London

Dr Mohan Kolhe is Director of Programmes and Senior Lecturer (Energy & Resources) at UCL School of Energy & Resources. He is a leading renewable energy technologist and has previously held academic positions at the University of Dundee (UK); University of Jyvaskyla (Finland); Hydrogen Research Institute (Canada). Dr Kolhe's academic work ranges from the development of business models for distributed generation, integrated renewable energy systems for hydrogen production, fuel cell applications for small cars, renewable energy techno-economics, solar photovoltaic and thermal engineering. Dr Kolhe has been successful in winning research funding for his work to develop integrated PV and wind based renewable hydrogen energy systems, fuel cell dynamic modelling, and an EU-Erasmus grant for education and training on renewable energy systems for housing from funding organizations such as EPSRC, BBSRC, Northern Research Partnership (Scotland), CECHR (Dundee Univ, UK), European Regional Development Fund, EU-ERASMUS Grant etc. In 2009 he was awarded a £1.8M grant from the EPSRC to develop business models for distributed generation. Dr Kolhe is a member of the Government of South Australia’s Renewable Energy Board.
