Mr Cameron O'Reilly | CEO Energy Retailers Association Australia
Cameron O’Reilly is the CEO of the Energy Retailers Association of Australia Limited (ERAA), the peak industry body representing retailers of electricity and gas in Australia’s energy markets. He is also Chairman of Energy Assured Limited - an industry led self-regulatory body focused on door to door sales.
Cameron is a Director of the Australian Gas Industry Trust (AGIT), a member of the Advisory Committee of the VaasaETT Global Energy Think Tank and sits on the Federal Government’s Smart Grid, Smart City Strategic Policy and Regulatory Steering Committee.
Cameron is a former policy adviser to the Federal Government and holds a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and a Master of Management and Public Policy from Monash University, where he undertook a major research essay on the genesis of the National Electricity Market (NEM).
In 2009 Cameron undertook a Fulbright professional scholarship sponsored by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, through which he spent three months based at the University of Texas in Austin researching the impact of climate change policy on the US energy sector.
