The Axiom Legal Financing Fund is an asset-backed lending fund that makes one-year loans to UK law firms to finance conditional fee and contingency fee litigation cases (not ambulance chasing cases). It also finances non-litigious cases, such as divorce. Loans are insured to recover the capital if the cases lose or if the law firm goes into bankruptcy. The fund has achieved predictable, non-correlated consistent annual returns of over 11% GBP or 10% EUR/USD. The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority regulates it with independent administrator and loan manager. It launched in September 2009 and had £45 million AUM on 1-11-11
