Mr Fabio Scacciavillani | Chief Economist and Member of the Investment Committee Oman Investment Fund | Oman
Dr. Fabio Scacciavillani is the Chief Economist of the Oman Investment Fund, a Sovereign Fund in charge of the inter-generational transfer of Oman’s energy commodities revenues. In this role, he develops forecasts, conducts analyses on global economic trends, evaluates returns on asset classes, and participates in key decisions as member of the Investment Committee. Previously he was Director of Macroeconomics and Statistics at the Dubai International Financial Centre and among other positions he served as Executive Director at Goldman Sachs; Senior Economist and Adviser at the European Central Bank and economist in various departments of the International Monetary Fund. He has a distinguished scholarly publication record, writes a regular column on Executive and is frequently quoted on international and regional media. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago.
