Mr Shayne McGuire | Head of Global Research and Portfolio Manager Teachers Retirement System of Texas | United States
Mr. Shayne McGuire manages the GBI Precious Metals Fund and is the Head of Global Research at Teacher Retirement System of Texas, one of the world's largest pension funds.
With 18 years of financial experience, Mr. McGuire has managed a $2 billion European equity portfolio and was ranked among the best Latin American analysts by Institutional Investor in the late 1990s while working at Deutsche Bank and ING Barings. His growing interest in precious metals led him to write two books on the subject, most recently Hard Money: Taking Gold to a Higher Investment Level (2010).
Mr. McGuire graduated from Fordham University and holds a Masters in History and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
